1.Big Ideas and Learning Outcomes

Overview

  • Consider defining the scope of your audience such as who your audience is, whether this course is an in-person or online course introduction to AI for anyone, high school or university students.
  • Big Idea 1 is good because it allows students to develop their own ideas.

Learning Outcomes

  • The learning outcomes are good because they begin with the fundamental core concepts of AI, and progress throughout the blog.

2.Evidence of Learning & Reference

Perform Tasks Accurately

  • It seems like the students need a basic understanding of AI in order to participate with the class.

Use Terminology Correctly

  • Consider incorporating real-world cases or AI project-based learning in this section as well to further strengthen students’ understanding.

Critical Analysis and Applications

  • Incorporating a research paper on the ethics of AI regarding facial recognition technology is good for letting students explore real-world challenges with AI.

Problem Solving and Innovation

  • If you’d like to incorporate a more interactive activity with the students in this section, you can have students make a pitch-style their idea in groups to a problem in real life they’d like to solve using AI.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Excellent idea on using collaborative AI coding projects like Google Colab and facilitating AI-driven debates!

References

  • Perhaps you might consider placing references at the end of the blog?

3. Assessments (misunderstanding and mistakes)

  • Does your title need “Misunderstanding and mistakes,” if they are present further on in the document?

Misunderstanding and Mistakes

  • I think formatting should be consistent throughout these two sections.
  • Otherwise, the section serves as a corner stone for the blog.

4. Test & Learning Activities

  • It is my understanding that the blog should be a 1-2 hour module, so the activities may take too long.
  • Activites 3 and 4 are numbered “2” and “3”, which is confusing for learners.

Test

  • I enjoyed the first test, because it was a good method of assessing the participant’s knowledge.
  • However, the second test was not complete, and has only one question.

Activity 1

  • Instructions somewhat clear, and the example provided is quite helpful.
  • The implementation methods compliment the learning objective well.

Activity 2

  • The activity description and example are creative, which will allow students to learn more about how AI works.
  • I find that the implementation methods adequately allow learning objectives to be met.

Activity 3

  • I believe that the activity description is good, as it allows for deeper levels of engagement with the topic since the students are tasked with researching AI.

Activity 4

  • I might have missed something, but I do not think the learners will be capable (nor should they be expected) of creating an AI chatbot.

Project Plan

  • It is good that all members are included, couples with their accomplishments.
  • However, I think the project plan should have a more detailed recollection of which group member completed which aspect of the blog.
